We are seeking a reliable and caring Child Caregiver to join our team at Lorne Miller. As a Child Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and supervision to children in a home-based setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Childcare and Education: Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children, engaging in activities that promote their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Household Management: Maintain a clean and organized home environment, ensuring the well-being and safety of children at all times.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children, taking into account any dietary restrictions or allergies.
  • Transportation: Safely transport children to and from school, appointments, and other activities.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents, keeping them informed of their child's daily activities, meals, and any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in childcare or a related field.
  • Certifications: CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
  • Personal Qualities: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, time management, patience, and honesty.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Non-smoking and scent-free home environment.
  • Work Setting: Own home.
  • Physical Demands: Handling heavy loads, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, work under pressure, and attention to detail.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
