Position Overview

They are in search of a proficient Senior Designer to enhance their Vancouver operations. The firm excels in a variety of project categories, including commercial, retail, office environments, high-rise structures, and wood frame multi-family developments.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of design expertise focusing on commercial, retail, office, high-rise structures, and wood frame multi-family projects.
  • Expertise in SketchUp and CAD; familiarity with Revit is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing 4-6 storey wood frame multi-family projects in relevant climates.
  • A robust portfolio that highlights successful projects in the mentioned categories.
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively presenting design concepts.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the design process for various project categories, including commercial, retail, office environments, high-rise structures, and wood frame multi-family developments.
  • Utilize SketchUp, CAD, or Revit to create and present design concepts, drawings, and models.
  • Work closely with clients, architects, and internal teams to ensure project specifications are fulfilled.
  • Provide design guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Ensure projects comply with timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
  • Remain informed on industry trends, materials, and technologies pertinent to design categories.
