We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Service Designer/UX Design Lead to join our team at SPECTRAFORCE. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design of digital products and services that meet the needs of our clients and their customers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design of digital products and services, including user research, content design, inclusive design, prototyping, and UX design.
- Develop and maintain design patterns and asset libraries to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
- Mentor and support less experienced Service Design and UX practitioners to help them grow in their careers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to ensure that design solutions meet business needs and are feasible to implement.
- Conduct user research and testing to inform design decisions and ensure that products meet user needs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in Service Design and UX, and apply this knowledge to improve our design processes and outcomes.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Service Design and UX, with a strong portfolio of work that demonstrates expertise in user research, content design, inclusive design, prototyping, and UX design.
- Experience working in an agile, digital product-focused development environment with User Experience teams, designers, and developers.
- Experience mentoring and supporting less experienced Service Design and UX practitioners.
- Experience working on public-facing government processes and systems, as well as hybrid and remote collaboration and facilitation.
- Strong understanding of design principles, human-centered design methods, and design thinking.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions.
