Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Law Clerk to provide transactional and litigation support to our Real Estate Management & Litigation (REML) team at Tari Labs, LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and updating legal agreements and documents, coordinating requests for external counsel, and maintaining comprehensive records and databases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transactional Support:
    • Review, edit, and update legal agreements and documents using templates and precedents.
    • Coordinate requests for retaining external counsel and prepare retainer documents.
    • Manage procurement processes and related documentation.
    • Ensure accurate application of procurement policy, standards, and processes.
  • Litigation Support:
    • Assist with managing litigation, drafting documents, and liaising with external counsel.
    • Conduct construction lien, corporate, title, and other searches.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Provide calendar management, office management, and other administrative assistance for the REML team.
    • Maintain tracking systems for issue and deadline management.
    • Review, edit, prepare, and organize documentation for approval submissions.
Requirements
  • Experience in commercial leasing, commercial real estate, construction law, or corporate-commercial law from an in-house legal department or law firm.
  • A post-secondary education.
  • A Law Clerk diploma/certificate/designation from an accredited Ontario law clerk institution (or equivalent legal experience).
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, industry practices, and formats for various legal documents.
  • Exceptional time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • A high level of professionalism and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
