About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Executive Director of Data Strategy to join our team at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Data Strategy: Create and execute a data strategy that supports our business goals and objectives, ensuring that data is used effectively to drive decision-making.
  • Lead Data Management Team: Manage and lead a team of data management professionals, providing guidance and direction to ensure that data is accurate, complete, and secure.
  • Collaborate with Business Stakeholders: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Emerging Technologies: Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in data management, ensuring that our data strategy remains relevant and effective.
  • Ensure Data Governance: Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure that data is used responsibly and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10-15 Years of Experience: You must have a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in data management, leadership, and strategy.
  • Strong Leadership Skills: You must have strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and lead a team of data management professionals.
  • Technical Expertise: You must have a strong understanding of data management technologies and trends, including data architecture, data governance, and data security.
  • Business Acumen: You must have a strong understanding of business operations and be able to develop data strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Communication Skills: You must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
