Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Data Strategy: Design and implement a data management strategy that aligns with business objectives and ensures data quality.
- Lead Data Management Team: Manage a team of data management professionals, providing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with Business Stakeholders: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data delivery meets business needs.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Emerging Technologies: Stay informed of emerging technologies and best practices in data management, ensuring the organization remains competitive.
- Ensure Data Governance: Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in data management, leadership, team management, technology, risk, and budget management.
- Extensive experience in data management and delivery, particularly within the financial services industry.
- Subject matter expertise in data lifecycle management, data architecture, and implementing data delivery frameworks.
- Analytical problem-solving skills to analyze project risks, business strategies, and emerging technology trends.
- Judgment and decision-making skills to oversee complex, high-stakes technology operations.
- Budget management skills to manage operating budgets of $2-5 million and capital budgets of approximately $5 million.
- People-oriented leadership skills to lead teams and manage organizational change.
- Collaborative partner skills to build strong relationships with colleagues and external partners.
- Compliance-oriented skills to ensure data management practices comply with regulatory requirements.
