Position Overview: Training and Compliance Coordinator for Safety Programs

OBJECTIVES:
  • Ensure consistent application of training protocols across the organization
  • Oversee training personnel in partnership with departmental leaders
  • Support initiatives aimed at minimizing accidents and fostering proactive safety practices
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist departmental leaders in the recruitment of drivers and the execution of training initiatives
  • Conduct investigations into accidents, assess contributing factors, and provide recommendations for compensation and alternative roles
  • Gather and analyze regional data on accidents, material claims, and employee compensation
  • Maintain precise safety documentation and perform internal safety evaluations
  • Facilitate training sessions for drivers
  • Address driver safety concerns and identify necessary training opportunities
  • Remain informed about security issues and community resources
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Preferred: Class 2 driver's license and knowledge of training methodologies
  • Desirable: Prior experience as a school bus driver
  • Asset: Familiarity with driver recruitment processes
  • Essential: Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Leadership and decision-making capabilities
  • Proficiency in modern software applications
  • Bilingualism is an advantage
