About the Role

Quantum Lifecycle Partners LP is a leading vertically integrated IT Asset Disposition & Recycling processor in Canada. We are committed to enabling safe and secure reuse of electronics, responsible recycling of electronics to divert waste from landfills, and recovery of natural resources from obsolete electronics.

The Business Development Director – ITAD – will handle aspects of account development, including prospecting future opportunities, the strategic development of prospects, meeting and closing of opportunities, and ongoing relationship management.

This role is responsible for ensuring that all client requirements are accurately communicated across the organization to ensure a successful implementation. The Business Development Director – ITAD – will drive growth in Revenue and Contribution Margin in the BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan markets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategize using research of competitors, market conditions, customer needs and organizational core competencies to claim company success.
  2. Establish business partnerships in a way that is honest, competitive and true to the company mission.
  3. Identify new opportunities based on market analysis and regional legislative programs.
  4. Create, qualify, pursue and win new business opportunities.
  5. Directly responsible for increasing divisional Revenue and Contribution Margin.
  6. Develop and recommend short term and long-range strategic sales plans and revenue and Contribution Margin goals to ensure the fulfilment of the company's business plan objectives.
  7. Translate the divisions business plan and revenue goals to ensure the fulfilments of the company's business plan and strategic objectives.
  8. Continually provide feedback to assist with the development of dynamic sales strategies for the short- and long-term success of the business.
  9. Work collaboratively with all business development team members to successfully transition new clients to a professionally managed portfolio of accounts.
  10. Implement the business plan to create demand for the company's service solutions both for existing customers and new business.
  11. Understand competitor business models, research and identify areas of strength while analyzing weaknesses.
  12. Establish business relationships by building trust.
  13. Participate in regular meetings as a member of the Business Development team and report on all active pursuits, wins, losses, opportunities, and upcoming engagements.
Qualifications
  1. 3-5 years' experience including prior experience in the I.T. Asset Disposition industry, or in related areas such as Channel sales (Value-Added Resellers), OEMs, I.T. Asset Leasing/Financing solutions, or MSP (Microsoft Service Providers).
  2. Communication Skills (verbal and written).
  3. Leadership and Supervisory skills with the ability to manage a small team of direct reports.
  4. Effective organizational skills with demonstrated ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all levels within the organization.
  6. Broad knowledge Computer components and IT equipment.
