Your Opportunity:
The Administrative Support V role within Alberta Health Services is designed to provide extensive administrative assistance to the Zone Clinical Departments. This position entails:
- Offering comprehensive administrative backing for the Executive Committees of the Zone Clinical Department.
- Facilitating meetings, which includes organizing logistics, taking minutes, preparing documents, and ensuring all necessary follow-ups are completed.
- Assisting the Zone Clinical Department Head with the Physician Periodic Review process, which involves tracking, arranging meetings, and submitting essential documents.
- Managing the Privileging and Credentialing Process by ensuring appointments and privileges are aligned with AHS Medical Staff bylaws, verifying the completeness of applications or change requests before submission to ZARC.
- Drafting appointment letters and developing a letter tracking system to maintain accurate records.
- Ensuring all staff appointments and privileging are meticulously tracked and documented in the Database.
Records and File Management:
This role also requires the establishment of organized working files for the Executive, maintaining a professional filing system that adheres to standards for the creation, archiving, or destruction of files. Additionally, you will assist in coordinating and storing files with Central Records following prescribed guidelines.

As an Administrative Support V, you will leverage advanced administrative skills and specialized knowledge to support intricate procedures, practices, and initiatives within the department or program.
Required Qualifications:Completion of post-secondary education, specifically a certificate in office or business administration.
Additional Required Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:A minimum of an Administrative Support course or diploma is preferred. A combination of education and experience may also be considered.
