About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team at Atlas Ironworks Inc. as a key member of our fabrication department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manuals to ensure accurate welding processes.
  • Examine welds to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications.
  • Operate various welding machines, including arc welding, brazing, and gas welding equipment.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads and performing physically demanding tasks.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in welding, with a focus on iron and steel fabrication.
  • Strong understanding of welding techniques, including oxy-acetylene, shielded metal arc, and gas tungsten arc welding.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a hot, noisy, and potentially odorous environment.
  • May be required to work in a factory setting, handling heavy loads and equipment.
