Position Overview

Atlas Ironworks Inc. is seeking a dedicated Industrial Welder to join our skilled workforce. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and metal fabrication, ensuring high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a Registered Apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years in the welding field.
Work Environment
  • Conditions may be hot, noisy, and may involve exposure to odours.
Work Setting
  • Primarily in a manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and execute welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, and manuals.
  • Inspect welds to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
Materials and Techniques
  • Experience with various materials including stainless steel, steel, iron, and heavy metals.
  • Proficient in multiple welding techniques such as:
    • Oxy-acetylene welding (OAW)
    • Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW)
    • Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG)
    • Gas metal arc welding (GMAW)
    • Flux core arc welding (FCAW)
    • Plasma arc welding (PAW)
    • Submerged arc welding (SAW)
Equipment Proficiency
