LPN - Home and Community Care

VON Canada is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in providing high-quality medical care to clients in their homes and other community settings across Nova Scotia.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical care to children, youth, adults, and seniors in their homes and other community settings
- Manage diabetes, administer dialysis, and provide IV medications and IV/CVAD care
- Offer palliative care, phlebotomy, and wound care, including negative pressure wound therapy and complex wounds
- Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the province of practice
- Experience in community health an asset
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle required
- Current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check required, with a Vulnerable Sector Search and/or Child Abuse Registry Check may be required
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
This role requires a detail-oriented approach in a dynamic environment, with physical activity including lifting, carrying (using proper techniques), bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements that emphasize good body mechanics.
Individuals in the role are required to walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day, with some tasks requiring fine hand movements.
