Bookkeeping Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at Slave Lake Accommodations LTD. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and performing various accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger.
- Payroll Administration: Prepare cheques for payroll, ensure accurate and timely payment of employees.
- Accounting Tasks: Perform various accounting tasks, including calculating fixed assets and depreciation, posting journal entries, and reconciling accounts.
- Computer and Technology: Proficient in MS Access, MS Excel, and MS Word.
- Security and Safety: Bondable and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Transportation/Travel: Own transportation required.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, overtime required, tight deadlines, work under pressure.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Access, MS Excel, and MS Word.
