Position Overview

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is in search of a dedicated Account Sales Manager specializing in Electronic Gases. This role offers flexibility in location, ideally situated near significant Linde business hubs or the possibility of working remotely. The primary focus of the Electronic Gases Account Sales Manager is to enhance sales revenue and profitability by engaging with companies in the semiconductor and solar sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Emphasize safety as a fundamental value in all operations.
  • Drive sales of Linde's electronic gases and equipment through active engagement at customer sites, understanding their needs, and presenting tailored solutions to secure long-term business relationships.
  • Formulate and execute sales strategies for assigned accounts to align with Linde Electronics group objectives while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain customer-specific plans that distinguish Linde from competitors, fostering successful account management.
  • Implement pricing strategies to enhance territory profitability.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within key semiconductor markets, including end-user accounts and OEMs.
  • Address complex customer challenges by adopting a comprehensive approach to find innovative solutions.
  • Monitor competitive activities and devise appropriate response strategies.
  • Gather intelligence on competitive products, pricing, and market trends.
  • Oversee customer product supply agreements and other contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with product managers to provide data for marketing initiatives aimed at defending and capturing market share.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including customer service, quality, engineering, operations, and finance, to manage customer relationships effectively.
  • Leverage Linde's strengths in safety, product capabilities, and extensive resources to maximize value for customers.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of product specifications, performance, and applications to identify market potential.
  • Support the sales team with product presentations and customer proposals for major quotations.
  • Maintain strategic customer profiles and foster relationships to gather market intelligence and promote Linde products.
  • Manage product initiatives, including evaluations, launches, and promotions.
  • Participate in forecasting orders and sales, regularly monitoring performance against established goals.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer needs within the assigned market segment.
  • Develop tactical objectives for product promotion programs and oversee related activities.
  • Evaluate issues from multiple perspectives to make decisions that benefit Linde's overall interests.
  • Facilitate the introduction of new applications and products to enhance business growth.
  • Manage accounts receivable for the territory.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to optimize delivery performance and support after-sales services.
  • Accountable for the financial implications of decisions and strategies, providing management with performance insights.
  • Support the Electronics Sales Team and contribute to the Global marketing organization with relevant information.
  • Assist the Director of Electronics Product Sales within the Electronics Division.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a four-year bachelor's degree in business, science, finance, marketing, mathematics, or engineering.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% to 40% for customer-related activities.
  • At least 5 years of experience in product marketing or sales of electronic and/or specialty gases, particularly within the semiconductor industry.
