About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team at the Northern Regional Health Authority. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare and serve meals to patients, staff, and visitors in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Ensure that all food is handled, stored, and served in accordance with food safety guidelines.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation
    • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in the kitchen and dining areas.
    • Ensure that all equipment and utensils are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
  • Inventory and Supply Management
    • Receive and store food and supply deliveries.
    • Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work effectively with other staff members to ensure seamless service.
    • Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, staff, and visitors.
Requirements
  • Education and Training
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
    • Will train on the job.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Food Safety Certificate.
    • Safe Food Handling certificate.
    • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
