About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team at the Northern Regional Health Authority. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare and serve meals to patients, staff, and visitors in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Ensure that all food is handled, stored, and served in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation
    • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in the kitchen and dining areas.
    • Ensure that all equipment and utensils are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
  • Inventory Management
    • Receive and store food and supplies in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and patients to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
  • Education and Training
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience and Skills
    • Previous experience in a food service or healthcare setting is an asset.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Food Safety Certificate
    • Safe Food Handling certificate
    • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
