Food Service Team Lead

V.S.S. FOOD SERVICES INC. is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our food service team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food and service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the activities of food preparation staff, ensuring efficient and safe food handling practices.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and healthy work environment.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring accurate ordering and inventory management.
- Monitor food quality and service standards, making adjustments as needed to meet customer expectations.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business decisions.
- Prepare and submit reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the chef to prepare food order summaries and ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Supervise and inspect the assembly of trays, ensuring presentation and quality meet our high standards.
- Establish and manage work schedules to meet business needs, ensuring adequate staffing and coverage.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service or related role.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
