Freight Forwarding Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Freight Forwarding Manager to join our team at YK Freightways Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our freight forwarding department.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate Daily Operations: Monitor and assess the efficiency of our freight forwarding operations to identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor Department's Performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure our department is meeting its targets.
- Plan and Organize Daily Operations: Develop and implement strategies to optimize our freight forwarding processes.
- Plan for Changes to Schedules and Policies: Collaborate with our management team to develop and implement changes to our schedules and policies.
- Prepare Reports for Senior Management: Provide regular reports to our senior management team on the performance of our freight forwarding department.
- Recruit Staff: Participate in the recruitment process to identify and hire top talent for our freight forwarding team.
- Supervise Staff: Provide guidance and support to our freight forwarding team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
- Train Staff: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our freight forwarding team members.
- Manage Finances or Budget: Oversee the financial aspects of our freight forwarding department, including budgeting and cost control.
- Ensure Transport Compliance with Regulations: Ensure that our freight forwarding operations comply with all relevant regulations and laws.
- Establish and Implement Policies and Standards for the Transportation and Storage of Goods: Develop and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods to ensure the highest level of quality and safety.
- Oversee the Scheduling and Dispatching of Vehicles and Goods: Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Organize and Maintain Inventory: Oversee the organization and maintenance of our inventory to ensure that we have the necessary goods and materials to meet customer demand.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as logistics, supply chain management, or business administration.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a freight forwarding or logistics role.

- Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
