About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Freight Forwarding Manager to join our team at YK Freightways Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our freight forwarding department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate Daily Operations: Analyze and assess the efficiency of our daily operations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor Department Performance: Track and measure the performance of our freight forwarding department to ensure it meets our company's standards.
  • Plan and Organize Daily Operations: Develop and implement plans to optimize our daily operations, ensuring seamless execution and timely delivery of goods.
  • Plan for Changes to Schedules and Policies: Anticipate and prepare for changes to schedules and policies, ensuring minimal disruption to our operations.
  • Prepare Reports for Senior Management: Compile and present regular reports to our senior management team, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Recruit and Supervise Staff: Lead and manage a team of freight forwarding professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet our company's standards.
  • Train Staff: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our freight forwarding team.
  • Manage Finances or Budget: Oversee the financial aspects of our freight forwarding department, ensuring we stay within budget and meet our financial targets.
  • Ensure Transport Compliance with Regulations: Ensure our freight forwarding operations comply with all relevant regulations and laws.
  • Establish and Implement Policies and Standards: Develop and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods, ensuring our company's reputation is maintained.
  • Oversee Scheduling and Dispatching: Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods, ensuring timely delivery and efficient use of resources.
  • Organize and Maintain Inventory: Manage and maintain our inventory levels, ensuring we have the necessary goods and materials to meet customer demands.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
