Position Overview:
As a pivotal member of the Informa Connect team, the Sponsorship Sales Executive will report directly to the Director of Art Shows Canada. This role is centered on cultivating and sustaining robust sponsor relationships, driving exhibition space sales, and overseeing the expansion of the VIP program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sponsorship Strategy & Development: Collaborate with leadership to devise and implement effective sponsorship strategies for major art events.
  • Lead Sponsor Development: Manage all phases of sponsor engagement, from initial outreach and pitching to contract negotiation and execution of sponsor deliverables.
  • Relationship Management: Oversee multiple sponsor accounts, ensuring all commitments and timelines are met.
  • Partner Engagement: Develop and facilitate year-round engagement opportunities for sponsors, acting as the primary contact during events.
  • Sales & Budget Oversight: Monitor and manage budgets and sales objectives, contributing to the overall financial success of the exhibitions.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Generate comprehensive post-event reports for sponsors, including performance metrics and feedback.
  • VIP Program Coordination: Assist in planning and executing exclusive VIP events, fostering connections across the art community.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside various departments to ensure cohesive execution of events and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Onsite Management: Supervise sponsor activities and presence during events, ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, collaborating with partners and stakeholders.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as necessary, with a preference for candidates who are bilingual.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3-5 years in sales, particularly in sponsorship or business development.
  • Business Acumen: Proven track record in generating new business and identifying revenue streams.
  • Project Management Skills: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Partnership Development: Skilled in creating mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Multitasking Ability: Capable of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
