About the Role

Raven Concrete Ltd. is seeking a skilled Construction Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by leveling earth to fine grade specifications.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate various equipment and machinery, including concrete vibrators, grinding machines, and drills.
  • Task Completion: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, as well as performing routine maintenance work.
  • Site Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by removing rubble and other debris at construction sites and directing traffic at or near construction sites.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Qualities: Reliability, team player, and hardworking individual.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Outdoors, at heights, confined spaces, noisy, and dusty.
  • Work Setting: Urban area, construction site.
Language and Work Term
  • Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week.
