Lead Treasury Analyst in Banking Operations

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Senior Banking Treasury Analyst to contribute significantly to our Treasury division. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Treasury, you will be instrumental in enhancing our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the implementation of projects and processes, including requirements gathering and gap analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental controls and assess their implications.
  • Conduct precise and timely banking reconciliations, aligning with ERP general ledger balances.
  • Identify and rectify reconciliation discrepancies, adjusting processes as necessary.
  • Foster strong relationships with banking partners, colleagues, and cross-functional teams.
  • Manage banking reconciliation issues and conduct thorough investigations.
  • Record transactions accurately in the company ledger.
  • Develop and distribute comprehensive reports.
  • Prepare quarterly variance explanations.
  • Initiate wire transfers through various banking platforms, ensuring accuracy and promptness.
  • Process cheque image deposits.
  • Coordinate periodic bank deposits and withdrawals.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate diploma, certificate, or degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in banking or accounting.
  • Proficient understanding of debit/credit transactions and journal entries.
  • Experience with online banking systems.
  • Familiarity with system implementation processes, including UAT testing and error debugging.
  • Knowledge of automated reconciliation systems, including match set creation and mapping rules.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (including Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, IF Statements, and macros).
  • Working knowledge of MS Dynamics 365 is advantageous.
  • Experience with credit card transactions in a retail context.
