We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Banking Treasury Analyst to enhance our Treasury department. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Treasury, you will be instrumental in various financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and facilitating project and process implementation, including requirements gathering and gap analysis.
- Ensuring awareness of departmental controls and their implications.
- Executing precise and timely banking reconciliations, aligning with ERP GL balances.
- Identifying and resolving reconciliation discrepancies.
- Fostering strong relationships with banking partners and cross-functional teams.
- Managing banking reconciliation issues and conducting investigations.
- Recording transactions accurately in the company ledger.
- Creating reports for distribution and preparing quarterly variance narratives.
- Initiating wire transfers through various banking platforms, ensuring accuracy and promptness.
- Processing cheque image deposits and organizing periodic bank transactions.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate diploma, certificate, or degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in banking or accounting.
- Proficient understanding of debit/credit transactions and journal entries.
- Experience with online banking platforms and system implementations, including UAT testing and error debugging.
- Knowledge of system-based reconciliations, including creating match sets and establishing automation rules.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, IF Statements, macros).
- Familiarity with MS Dynamics 365 is advantageous.
- Understanding of credit card transactions in a retail context.
