We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Banking Treasury Analyst to enhance our Treasury department. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Treasury, you will be instrumental in driving key initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support project and process implementations, including requirements gathering and gap analysis.
  • Ensure awareness of departmental controls and their implications.
  • Conduct precise and timely banking reconciliations, aligning with ERP GL balances.
  • Identify and resolve reconciliation discrepancies effectively.
  • Foster strong relationships with banking partners and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage banking reconciliation issues and investigations.
  • Document transactions accurately in the company ledger.
  • Develop and distribute comprehensive reports.
  • Prepare detailed quarterly variance narratives.
  • Initiate wire transfers through various banking platforms, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Process cheque image deposits.
  • Organize periodic bank deposits and withdrawals.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate diploma, certificate, or degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in banking or accounting.
  • Proficient understanding of debit/credit transactions and journal entries.
  • Experience with online banking platforms.
  • Familiarity with system implementation processes, including UAT testing and error debugging.
  • Knowledge of system-based reconciliations, including creating match sets and setting up automation rules.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, IF Statements, macros).
  • Working knowledge of MS Dynamics 365 is a plus.
  • Understanding of credit card transactions in a retail context.
