About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Treasury Analyst to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily banking, cash management, and forecasting treasury activities.

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and organized individual to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the implementation and management of new Treasury Management Systems (TMS)
  • Assist with daily preparation and analysis of cash forecasts
  • Administer banking activities for all operating units, including opening bank accounts, setting up and managing users, and KYC requests
  • Support the execution of cash management activities, such as wires and transfers
  • Assist with the preparation of various accounts receivable securitization reports
  • Develop periodic journal entries for banking activities
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of bank account documentation
  • Update treasury policies
  • Assist with quarterly internal compliance requirements
  • Assist with annual budget activities
  • Support various banking projects and initiatives
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
  • Interest in pursuing a professional designation, such as CPA, CFA, or CTP
  • Experience with treasury systems is an asset
