Job Title: Research Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our team at the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS. The successful candidate will work closely with our research team to support the planning, implementation, and analysis of various hepatitis C (HCV) and primary health care studies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support recruitment for studies, including screening and enrolment
  • Collect and manage data through surveys and interviews
  • Perform various study administration tasks, including ethics review processes, protocol development, and data cleaning
  • Develop and maintain study databases and source document worksheets
  • Ensure strict confidentiality related to identification and release of study data
  • Conduct literature reviews and assist in the development of research projects and associated documents
Requirements:
  • University degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Health Sciences, Public Health, Public Policy)
  • 1-3 years of previous research experience working in the healthcare field
  • Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organization skills
  • Ability to take initiative and problem-solve
  • Experience working with under-served patients or clients
  • Clear ability to establish rapport with clients, communicate clearly, and assess situations
  • Excellent time management skills and computer competency with Microsoft Office Software
