Sessional Instructional Assistant, Insurance Products and Regulation with AXIS

We are seeking a highly qualified Sessional Instructional Assistant to support the delivery of our Insurance Products and Regulation with AXIS course. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in statistical sciences, actuarial science, statistics, or biostatistics, and be familiar with the actuarial software AXIS.
Key Responsibilities- Tutorial teaching and grading term tests
- Invigilating term tests and final exams
- Grading homework and/or quizzes
- Setting tutorial quizzes
This course will cover key types of insurance products and their pricing and valuation, as well as representative developments in insurance regulations in the US, Europe, and Canada. Other topics will include a brief introduction to the use of AI in life insurance.
Course ScheduleThe course will be delivered in person on Fridays from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. The estimated course enrolment is up to 30 students, and the estimated SIA hours are 65 hours.
QualificationsApplicants must have a strong academic background in statistical sciences, actuarial science, statistics, or biostatistics, and be familiar with the actuarial software AXIS.
