We are seeking a highly qualified Sessional Instructional Assistant to support our Insurance and Regulation course at the University of Toronto.
Course Overview:
The Insurance and Regulation course is a comprehensive program that covers key types of insurance products, their pricing and valuation, and representative developments in insurance regulations in the US, Europe, and Canada. Students will also explore the use of AI in life insurance.
Responsibilities:
- Tutorial teaching and grading term tests
- Invigilating term tests and final exams
- Grading homework and/or quizzes
- Setting tutorial quizzes
Qualifications:
Academic background in statistical sciences, actuarial science, statistics, or biostatistics, with familiarity with the actuarial software AXIS.
Working Conditions:
This is a part-time position, with an estimated 65 hours of SIA work per term. The course will be delivered in person, with sessions held on Fridays from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.
Compensation:
The successful candidate will receive a salary of $52.26 per hour, plus vacation pay.
