Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at The Tasting Room. As a senior culinary leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, managing kitchen staff, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with our culinary team to design and implement new menu items, ensuring that they are creative, delicious, and aligned with our brand's culinary vision.
  • Kitchen Management: Supervise and mentor our kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are meeting our high standards of quality and service.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and safety, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Manage our kitchen inventory, ensuring that we have the necessary ingredients and supplies to meet our menu demands.
  • Team Leadership: Foster a positive and productive team culture, encouraging open communication and collaboration among our kitchen staff.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and completion of a culinary program or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior culinary role, with a proven track record of success in menu development, kitchen management, and team leadership.
  • Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate and any other relevant culinary certifications.
Working Conditions

This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work under pressure. You will be required to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a hot and noisy kitchen environment.
