Job Summary:

The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and food preparation
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food production
  • Manage inventory and ordering of food and supplies
  • Monitor and control food costs and labor expenses
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and execute special events and catering
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent position
  • Strong background in culinary arts and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
