Join our team as a Thermal Insulation Technician in a permanent, full-time role. This position requires no formal degree and welcomes candidates with 1 to 7 months of relevant experience.
Work EnvironmentOur work settings include construction sites, commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and institutional projects. You will be working at various locations.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine insulation requirements.
- Select and cut appropriate insulating materials for various applications.
- Utilize different methods to apply insulation effectively.
- Ensure insulation fits around obstacles and is installed correctly.
- Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials as needed.
- Apply waterproofing materials to protect structures.
- Steam and condensate process lines.
- Plumbing, ventilation, hot water, and air conditioning systems.
A basic security clearance is required for this position.
Transportation Requirements- A valid driver's license is necessary.
- Candidates must have their own transportation.
- Public transportation options are available.
- The role is physically demanding and fast-paced.
- It involves standing, bending, and manual dexterity.
- Tasks are repetitive and require attention to detail.
- Work may involve tight deadlines and handling weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Required tools and steel-toed safety boots must be provided by the candidate.
Personal Attributes- Strong interpersonal skills are essential.
- Dependability and reliability are key traits for success in this role.
- Willingness to relocate is preferred.
- Previous experience in insulation installation is an asset.
