About the Job

Arc-West Mechanical Insulation (2013) Inc. is seeking a skilled Insulation Specialist to join our team. As an Insulation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining insulation systems in various commercial and industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure accurate installation of insulation systems.
  • Select and Apply Insulation Materials: Select the appropriate type of insulation material required for the job and apply it using various methods, including spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, and taping.
  • Measure and Cut Insulation Materials: Measure and cut insulation materials to the required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools.
  • Install Vapour Barriers and Fire-Retardant Materials: Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials to ensure a safe and efficient insulation system.
  • Brush Waterproofing Cement or Other Material: Brush waterproofing cement or other material over insulating materials to ensure a watertight seal.
Work Environment

As an Insulation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel, and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs). You will also be required to work in various locations, including construction sites, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities.

  • Valid Driver's Licence: You must have a valid driver's licence and own transportation.
  • Basic Security Clearance: You must have basic security clearance.
  • Efficient Interpersonal Skills: You must have efficient interpersonal skills and be a team player.
