Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Supervisor to join our team at Paladin Security. As a Field Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting our healthcare sites throughout the Lower Mainland, ensuring the highest level of security and safety for our clients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Incident Management: Respond to and manage security-related incidents, working closely with Health Authority stakeholders, emergency responders, and other authorities to ensure a swift and effective resolution.
- Security Program Development: Assist in developing, implementing, maintaining, and evaluating our overall security program, including Post Orders, Policy & Procedure Manuals, and OH&S programs.
- Staff Supervision: Ensure security staff adhere to all guidelines, standards, and regulatory requirements, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Operations Support: Support all Healthcare Security Officers afterhours, including Security Operations Centre and Scheduling, with responsibilities delegated to them.
- Reporting and Analysis: Compile accurate monthly statistics or as requested by the Healthcare Operations Manager, providing recommendations for security and safety improvements.
- Training and Development: Assist in the scheduling, training, coaching, mentoring, and overall support for Site Managers, Site Supervisors, Shift Supervisors, and Security Officers afterhours.
- Investigations: Conduct incident investigations as required, ensuring thorough and timely resolution.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of one year of work experience in the security industry, preferably in a healthcare environment, and minimum of one year of supervisory, management, or other leadership experience.
- Education and Certifications: Must have a Class 5 BC Driver's License and clean drivers abstract.
- Skills and Knowledge: Working knowledge of appropriate legislation and provincial/national standards on fire safety, building codes, security, and protection of privacy, strong communication skills, both in writing and verbally, including delivering presentations to groups, excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to function effectively in a highly dynamic environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ability to lead, plan, organize, delegate, and problem solve.
- Physical Demands: Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, which includes the completion of use of force training, patrolling up and down stairs, and more.
