Job Title: Security Operations Coordinator

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and schedule static security officers for sites as required
  • Assign tasks to field support supervisors
  • Maintain communication with supervisors, site managers, and security officers
  • Respond to emergency calls and give direction
  • Professionally communicate with clients over the phone and/or via email as required, with respect to scheduling needs
Qualifications:
  • A valid BC Security License
  • High School diploma; post-secondary education is an asset
  • At least one year of experience in the security industry
  • At least one year of experience in a scheduling or dispatching role
  • Experience in an administrative and data entry role is an asset
  • Technical skills including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, the Windows Operating system, and the ability to type at least 70 WPM
Skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain positive relationships with Fusion Security staff and clients alike
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proven organizing and planning skills
  • Flexibility to work varied and extended hours, as business dictates
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to make decisions and work without close supervision
  • Ability to handle stress and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities to effectively complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without losing focus
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, so that others will understand and follow directives
  • The ability to learn and adapt quickly to different operating systems and software programs

  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems

  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately, assess and evaluate situations effectively, and take appropriate action
Reporting Structure:

This position reports to the Operations Manager. In addition, the position will receive direction from other Senior Fusion Security Management from time to time.

Shift Structure:
  • Full time: 40 hours per week
  • Shift Model: 12-hour graveyard (overnight) shifts, based on a 4 day on 3 day off schedule
  • Availability: 7 days a week, including weekends
  • Location: Head Office in Burnaby
