Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Representative to join our Storage Solutions Group (SSG) team at Johnston Equipment. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for consulting with customers on their material handling, storage, and automated systems solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect for new customers and develop business relationships to generate new revenue opportunities
  • Persevere through lengthy sales processes and provide exceptional sales service to customers
  • Understand customer expectations and educate clients on Johnston Equipment's line of products and services
  • Coordinate with manufacturers, engineers, designers, installers, and customers to ensure project timelines and expectations are successfully met
  • Generate revenue through sales activities and work towards targets and department objectives

Requirements:

  • Experience in B2B outside sales, preferably in business development, lead generation, outbound calling, or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with managers, executives, and peers
  • Strong work ethic, ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments, and a professional attitude
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with a high degree of initiative, a can-do attitude, results-driven mindset, and the ability to achieve set targets
  • Polished customer service skills and the ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work, with strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
