Position Overview:

The Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in facilitating communication, providing analysis, and documenting all facets of various projects. This individual must possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of team needs, business objectives, and project limitations to aid in successful project execution. The role involves fulfilling Project Management responsibilities as assigned by the Manager of Innovation: Analytics & Projects.

Emphasizing project management, the Project Coordinator will oversee corporate projects, requiring exceptional organizational and time management abilities. The individual will collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment with company vision, customer satisfaction, and high-quality delivery standards. Utilizing a customer-centric approach, the Project Coordinator will apply Design Thinking and Agile methodologies to enhance project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination (80%): Support the complete lifecycle of specific projects, from strategic planning to tactical execution. Develop and manage project schedules, communicate timelines, and follow up on outstanding tasks. Identify and mitigate project risks, escalating issues as necessary. Schedule and facilitate meetings, document discussions, and ensure action items are completed. Assist in creating a Project Charter, defining goals, objectives, risks, and deliverables. Monitor project resources and team efforts, ensuring efficient delivery and quality control. Conduct post-project evaluations to identify improvement areas.
  • Process Improvement & Implementation (15%): Apply process improvement methodologies to enhance initiatives. Prepare documentation, including presentations and process models, and assist in implementing new processes with stakeholders.
  • Continuous Innovation and Skill Development (5%): Focus on ongoing skill enhancement in areas such as Change Management, Project Management, and Six Sigma Practices.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • 1 year of experience in project management and process development is preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of transportation or a strong interest in network optimization is beneficial.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to present to leadership and collaborate across various departments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Resilience and adaptability to change.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
