Job Title: Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Comal y Canela traditional Mexican kitchen. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of our menu items.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food production.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain inventory levels.
  • Plan and implement kitchen operations to ensure efficient food service.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement new menu items and promotions.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent position.
  • Strong knowledge of Mexican cuisine and cooking techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
