Position Overview

TandemLaunch is on the lookout for a Microelectronics Technical Lead to be part of the pioneering leadership team of an innovative startup in the wireless communication sector. Our mission is to advance the development of state-of-the-art wireless antennas that facilitate sub-wavelength-scale designs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the growth of a successful startup by applying your research acumen and technical knowledge.
  • Engage with advanced technologies sourced from top-tier laboratories within the deep-tech domain.
  • Identify and secure patentable intellectual property while conducting thorough technical assessments to establish your startup's patent portfolio.
  • Craft and execute a technological strategy aimed at achieving a minimum viable product within an 18-24 month timeframe.
  • Offer scientific leadership and mentorship to your team, ensuring the validation of your product's essential functionalities.

What We Provide

  • Seed funding ranging from $600-800K.

Candidate Profile

  • PhD in electrical engineering, materials science, RF engineering, physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Proven experience in microfabrication and design processes.
  • Understanding of micromagnetics theory and simulation techniques.
  • Leadership capabilities to assemble and guide a team of engineers and researchers, fostering a collaborative and innovative atmosphere to drive the development of advanced solutions.
  • Commitment to staying informed about the latest trends in the wireless communications field, with a willingness to embrace continuous learning and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and a strong desire to co-found and support the growth of a deep-tech startup, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and contribute to strategic decision-making.
