About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team at CK Progressive Developments. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of residential and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Construction
    • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and develop detailed plans and specifications
    • Collaborate with project managers and architects to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects
  • On-Site Work
    • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
    • Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
    • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures
  • Project Management
    • Coordinate and schedule work on sites to ensure timely completion of projects
    • Estimate costs and materials required for projects
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees
    • Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees
  • Support for Youths
    • Participate in government or community programs that support youth employment
  • Support for Veterans
    • Participate in government or community programs that support veterans
  • Support for Indigenous People
    • Participate in government or community programs that support Indigenous people
  • Support for Visible Minorities
    • Participate in government or community programs that support members of visible minorities
  • Work Environment

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials
