Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Corporate Legal Assistant to provide administrative support to our Legal Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal administration and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage calendars, arrange travel, and handle expense management and reporting for the Legal Team.
  • Organize and schedule Board, Committee, and internal Shareholder meetings.
  • Attend Board, Committee, and internal Shareholder meetings, and take detailed minutes.
  • Assist in preparing agendas and materials for Board, Committee, and internal Shareholder meetings.
  • Offer administrative support to Board members and Committees.
  • Aid in the preparation and submission of annual corporate filings across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Support the filing of insurance and corporate applications in various jurisdictions.
  • Maintain and organize legal files, including materials for Board, Committee, and Shareholder meetings.
  • Assist the Legal Team with document preparation and related tasks.
Requirements
  • Completion of a college program in Legal Assistant or Law Clerk diploma program.
  • 3 to 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in a law firm or legal setting is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professionalism and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to interact effectively and confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated diplomacy and tact in handling confidential information and situations.
  • Strong attention to detail, including proficiency in minute-taking and organizational skills.
  • Proven capability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality results.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Experience with AI tools for enhanced efficiency is a plus.
