Chandigarh Construction Inc. is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Estimation and Planning: Prepare accurate estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects.
- Site Preparation: Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and prepare layouts in conformance to building codes.
- Material Handling: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Structural Assembly: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Project Coordination: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, survey building locations, and estimate costs and materials.
- Technical Skills: Operate CADD and other computer software systems.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
