Chandigarh Construction Inc. is seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, reading blueprints, and preparing layouts in conformance to building codes.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
- Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites.
- Survey building locations and levels.
- Estimate costs and materials.
- Operate CADD and other computer software systems.
Requirements:
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the trade.
- Permanent employment.
- English language proficiency.
- 35 hours per week.
