Job Summary

Chandigarh Construction Inc. is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, reading blueprints, and measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to create building structures
  • Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Survey building locations and levels to ensure accuracy
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems to aid in design and planning
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
Work Environment

This is a permanent position with 35 hours of work per week. The work language is English.
