Carpentry Specialist

Chandigarh Construction Inc. is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, reading blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements, and preparing layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
Key Responsibilities- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
- Scheduling and co-ordinating work on sites.
- Surveying building locations and levels.
- Estimating costs and materials.
- Operating CADD and other computer software systems.
- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
- Work Term: Permanent.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 35 hours per week.
