At the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB), we are seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Social Worker to provide design, guidance, counseling, implementation, analysis, and assessment work in one or more social programs. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Cree culture, social/health issues, and Eenou/Eeyou Pimaatsiiun healing practices and paradigms.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement social programs that meet the needs of our clients.
  • Provide guidance and counseling to individuals and families.
  • Conduct analysis and assessments to identify client needs.
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff and community members.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to provide comprehensive services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work.
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre professionnel des travailleurs sociaux et des thérapeutes conjugaux et familiaux du Québec (OTSTCFQ).
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience in social work.
  • Fluent in English; fluency in Cree or French is an asset.
