Recreation Services Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all customer interactions within the facility, including:
- Responding to inquiries and welcoming guests upon entry,
- Providing detailed information about programs and services, and
- Handling registrations, facility reservations, and retail transactions through cash, ActiveNet, and Point of Sale systems.
- Manage daily front office operations, which include:
- Performing administrative tasks such as filing, generating daily reports, and handling correspondence,
- Preparing necessary documentation for programs,
- Organizing equipment for program leaders and staff, and
- Updating manuals and leisure guides as needed.
- Track class registration trends and relay information to recreation personnel.
- Supervise the facility and report any issues or irregularities to management.
- Assist maintenance staff with room setups and cleaning for programs as necessary.
- Carry out additional related tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 12 Diploma.
- Proven experience in recreation, retail, or tourism sectors.
- Background in retail operations management with extensive knowledge of Point of Sale systems.
- Strong customer service and communication abilities.
- Capability to work collaboratively in a team setting, engaging with key stakeholders, and functioning effectively with minimal oversight.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and adaptability to new software; experience with ActiveNet is a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts for a 7-day operation and potential overtime.
- Ability to fulfill the physical demands of the role.
- Commitment to promoting a culture of safety.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Completion of Ministry of Labour Worker Health and Safety Awareness training.
- A valid Ontario driver's license, Class 'G', with a clean driving record.
Compensation: $21.16 per hour
Work Location: Kiwanis Aquatics Centre
Work Schedule: Monday, 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM
