We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Recreation Assistant to join our team at the Kiwanis Aquatics Centre. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing daily operations, and supporting recreation programs.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to visitors, respond to inquiries, and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Front Office Administration: Manage daily front office operations, including filing, administrative tasks, and maintaining accurate records.
- Program Support: Assist with program setup, equipment organization, and registration management.
- Facility Monitoring: Monitor the facility, report maintenance issues, and ensure a safe and clean environment for visitors.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with recreation staff, maintenance staff, and other stakeholders to achieve team goals.
- Education: Grade 12 Diploma
- Experience: Demonstrated experience working in a recreation, retail, or tourism field
- Skills: Well-developed customer service and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to adapt to new software
- Availability: Availability to work flexible hours, including shifts and overtime
- Physical Requirements: Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
- Certifications: Current First Aid and CPR certificates, Ministry of Labour Worker Health and Safety Awareness training
This is a part-time position with a competitive hourly rate of $21.16. The expected work location is the Kiwanis Aquatics Centre, and the hours of work are Monday, 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
