About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Designer to join our team at Smith + Andersen. As a key member of our Intelligent Integrated Systems group, you will be responsible for designing and engineering audiovisual, telecommunications, security, and intelligent building systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement system engineering concepts for projects, including tender documentation, design briefs, cost documentation, site reports, and computer models.
  • Collaborate with project managers to prepare calculations and select equipment for projects.
  • Ensure proper coordination of documents with internal and external project teams, including architects, interior designers, and other disciplines.
  • Review and approve deliverables for completeness and accuracy, adhering to company standards and quality management processes.
  • Liaise with external consultants and vendors to ensure smooth project delivery.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in audiovisual, telecommunications, or security design and engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, CAD/Revit, MS Project, and Visio.
  • Full understanding of codes and standards relevant to the project and ability to communicate requirements to internal and external teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a complex project environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
