About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Designer - Intelligent Integrated Systems to join our team at Smith + Andersen. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and engineering audiovisual, telecommunications, security, and intelligent building systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement system engineering concepts for projects
  • Prepare and review tender documentation, design briefs, cost documentation, site reports, and computer models
  • Coordinate with internal and external project teams to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and industry codes and standards
  • Collaborate with project managers to prepare calculations and select equipment
  • Review and approve deliverables for completeness and accuracy
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in audiovisual, telecommunications, or security design and engineering
  • Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) designation and Manufacturer Training are assets
  • P. Eng, RCDD, PSP, CTS-D, MCSE, CCIE Certifications are assets
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, CAD/Revit, MS Project, Visio
  • Full understanding of Codes and Standards relevant for the project
