About the Role

B.S.S. Excavating Ltd. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As an Excavation Specialist, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and cranes to perform excavation and construction tasks.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
  • Pre-Operational Checks: Conduct thorough pre-operational checks on equipment to identify and address any potential issues before use.
  • Attachment and Hydraulic Systems: Secure special attachments to equipment and operate hydraulic pumping systems as required.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced construction environment, with a focus on safety and productivity.
  • Language and Communication: Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors in English.
  • Work Schedule: Work a standard 40-hour week, with occasional overtime as required.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Experience in heavy equipment operation is an asset, but not required.
